One of the first childhood TV obsessions for me was Speed Racer, a show I watched every single day with religious fervence. (I remember the twin rotary saw blades, activated by button C on the steering wheel most vividly.)
The Wachowski brothers (of The Matrix Trilogy fame) are bringing Speed Racer back in May 2008 in what appears to be a FX extravaganza.
It’s ridiculous how badly I want to see this.

And the high-definition trailer is where exactly? All I get on the page you linked to is a postage stamp.

I am from Western PA, and Speed Racer was on cable, but we were to poor to get it. The antenna would sometimes pick up the channel, but way too infrequent to watch. I guess that I missed out.

Lion King was kinda a Kimba ripoff, IMO, but Kimba’a dad was killed by hunters, I believe.

OK NOW I want to see the movie. I thought it would be kinda cheesey, but it looks pretty good. Man, does the father look like the cartoon character or what!
